The system works in 2.4G wave band and uses IEEE802.15.4 Zigbee communication protocol. The data collected by various sensors (e.g. temperature sensor, humidity sensor, pressure sensor, etc.) gathered to a center node through wireless network (e.g. star structure, tree structure, mesh structure, etc.) via CC2420 chip, then the center node sent the data to a powerful node monitoring terminal through serial port, thus achieved topology display and information processing of the entire network. The 15 inch LCD dynamically displays the work status of each data node and the topology of the entire network, so the teachers can easily describe the constitution and detailed working mode of wireless sensor network.
Wireless sensor network is considered to be one of the four future high-tech, the experts foresee wireless sensor network industry as a huge newly industry succeeding Internet.
