Intumex PS Fire Resistant Cushions are woven glass fiber bags filled with intumescent granular material. They are fitted into wall and floor openings enabling a quick and safe seal. Due to the flexibility of this system retrofitting of pipes and cables is easily carried out.
Intumex PS Fire Resistant Cushions can easily be installed and are universally suitable for cable penetrations as well as for building cavities. They are ideally suited to:
o Computer rooms.
o Telephone and communication centres.
o Temporary sealing during building construction.
o Power Stations.
o Industrial applications.
o Resistant to water and humidity, atmospheric influences (light, heat, frost) as well as to industrial climate.
o Consists of granulated intumescent material.
o Dust free.
o High tensile strength (coated glass fabrics, seam made of stainless steel wire).
o Expansion starts at approximately 150°C.
o Multiple usages possible.
o Retro-fitting possible without problems.
o Cover the installed cable bundles or pipes with a layer of cushions. Continue to close the remaining void with further layers, ensuring they are fitted tightly.
o In case of floor slab penetration it is necessary to install a supporting steel mesh, screwed or hooked to the construction substrate.
o Constructions and dimensions must be in accordance with the relevant Intumex Fire tests.
