These filters are used as the dust capturing devices in the industrial facilities. They have been constituted by the air bags selected in accordance with the characteristics of dust and in optimal number, the air-lock, the conveyor unit, pressurized air system, automatic control system and the fan. The system needs a minor level maintenance and this can easily be done. With the exemption of programmed changing of the bags, only a few parts are needed to change, provided with the application of regular maintenance procedure. During the installation, control and changing of the filter bags, it is not needed to remove the air-pulse manifolds (distribution pipes). The manifold assembly is removed by turning it. In the power centrals, the fans and heat exchangers are provided not only for the exhaust gas but, at the same time, for controlling of the emissions also.The gasses or the air under pressure or vacuum enters the system from the bottom of the filter. Since its movement is towards to the filter-bag, the contaminants in the air are accumulated on the outer face of the bag. The clean air, passing through the filter-head passes behind the venture section and goes to the clean air section of the filter and leaves the system via the exhaust system. During the dust capturing process, while the dust is accumulated in the empty faces of the filtering media, the porous structure of the media is degraded. The differential pressure can be kept in allowable limits, by controlling the pressure difference across the clean and contaminated air section of the filter. Solenoid valves receive energy from the electronic timer circuit by very-short duration adjustable electric signals (for example 0.1 second) and these signals are transmitted to the blower pipes via high pressure stroke valves. From the holes on the blowing pipes, compressed air is sprayed into the venturies in very high speed. The high-speed sprayed air passing through the venturi, induces a secondary air flow in a volume a few times higher than that of its volume and the high-pressure sprayed air is pumped to the bag together with the clean air. Under the combined effect of these two air flow, in the clean air section of the filter cylinder an instantaneous pressure rise emerges for a very short time duration. This action, reversing the air flow passing through the fiber elements, provides a sufficient cleanness for the entering air. Since the small air quantities are included in very short-time durations, the calculated air flow quantity through the filter group is provided continually. Filtering efficiency of jet-pulse bag filter reaches the level of 99%, after a dust-crust has accumulated on the bag. The dust-crust provides an efficient filtration once it has occurred. During the cleaning process of the filter this crust layer should not be removed from the surface.
